This preparation led to a job where I could apply these skills, alongside gaining hands-on experience with AWS cloud. I combined my knowledge to implement DevOps practices, build CI/CD pipelines, and automate routine tasks.My experience shows that you don't need to be an expert in everything to start. I started my career as DevOps engineer 13 years back and based on my experience the first lesson to be learnt before you start your DevOps journey is - "It is a mindset/culture and there is no thumb rule to implement it within your projects or the organisations" Is it worth implementing the CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as code, ACLs etc to automate the deployments if you are the only developer on the project working on one microservice that needs just one deployment and no further updates and you have the admin access to all the target environments including the production ? - Think about it.. The only thing that remains constant is the strategy you put in place to ensure that you deliver faster eventually reducing the time to market.

Learning the basics of Devops sets the key foundation. DevOps is the methodology/practice which came into picture in order to reduce the conflict between development and operations team. Therefore starting with the terminologies like Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, Continuous Deployement, understanding various stages of SDLC and that of CI/CD, Version Control Software, Iaac, PaaS, SaaS ,Iaas,etc will provide an very higher level understanding and also will eventually provide more pointers to study further. Apart from that parallely, free trial subscription should be taken of any cloud provider like AZURE ,AWS or GCP and GIT to start with and to have a better understanding.
