El ser humano busca mantener un un balance, que le ayude a mantener su equilibrio ante el entorno, es fundamental el adaptarse para sobrevivir, no podemos negar que puede existir cierta resistencia al cambio, sobre todo si este trastoca los aspectos de la vulnerabilidad personal, es necesaria aceptar esta, y poner atención ante las emociones que se despliegan a los cambios de nuestro entorno, trabajar nuestra inteligencia emocional para gestionar las emociones que generan distress y estar al pendiente de las necesidades y poder comunicarlas, generar habilidades de efectividad interpersonal para manejar nuestras relaciones dando apertura a desarrollar climas de confianza y así afrontar los retos que los cambios organizacionales traen.

Social change is a change in society.No society can grow without social change.Change in society comes with the efforts of every one.In a no alcoholic society when people get themselves involved in alcoholic trend but such a situation can't be called change in society. Social change is a change in the web of social relationship for betterment.Many time such time such change me come bh legislation but usually social change is an outcome of social action for betterment.Whdn people confronted with various social problems and finding anh solution by social action can be well defined as an act of social action. For another example when their is no road in remote area then joint action of inhabitants to develop road can be called social action.

Adaptarse a nuevas regulaciones, problemas sociales cambiantes y las diversas circunstancias de los clientes requiere una actitud proactiva y positiva. Mantenerse informado y flexible permite convertir el cambio en una oportunidad de crecimiento personal y profesional. Al adoptar esta mentalidad, los trabajadores sociales pueden desarrollar la resiliencia y las habilidades necesarias para enfrentar las complejidades de su labor con confianza y eficacia.

Social Work skills provide us with transferable skills to enable Social Workers to be flexible and responsive to many given situations. Flexibility means you can work anywhere and be open and adaptive to differing client needs and to be open to new ideas and ways of working.

Resilience is learning and reflecting from past situations to become stronger, but also allowing ourselves and our colleagues to feel what they feel from difficult and emotional experiences, and acknowledge this is okay to be impacted. Social work within a ‘system’ has value clashes at times and we need resilience and team support to keep advocating what matters, despite the conflict at times. If we feel able and empowered to make positive change with compassion, the risk of burnout decreases as we aren’t just stuck with a feeling of empathy and helplessness.

Dans l'exercice du travail social,on est souvent confronté au stress et beaucoup d'autres difficultés. Mais le important c'est savoir se repositionner, c'est demander de l'aide afin de partager les expériences avec d'autres personnes de ton domaine.

Un travailleur social doit adopter son style de communication à conformément à celui de son client pour qu'il y ait une meilleure compréhension. Car parler et communiquer font deux choses différentes.

I first heard the phrase “ be both a teacher and learner” during my graduate school orientation. It was advice being dispensed to support my cohort in our studies, yet I’ve found it to be sound advice in all of my professional endeavors since that time. Being both a teacher and learner, from my perspective, speaks to recognizing the importance of engaging continuously in professional development. I also appreciate the servant leadership leaning within it, as there’s a nod to the social responsibility that we have to lift others as we climb in our pursuit of knowledge. To my fellow social workers, I say hone your craft, keep your skills sharp, specialize, & be relentless in the pursuit of all that will make you GREAT.

A robust professional network can provide support, advice, and new perspectives. Regularly connect with other social work professionals through associations, conferences, and community groups. Seek mentors who can provide guidance and insight based on their own experiences and challenges in the field. Join professional organizations in social work to expand your network. Utilize platforms like LinkedIn to network with other professionals. Participate in committees or special interest groups to deepen your involvement and increase your visibility in the community. Join or form peer consultation groups where social workers can discuss complex cases and share advice in a confidential, supportive setting.

Be honest with yourself and stay true to your values… and no that last part is not a social Work 101 comment. But a sincere and deep commitment to self and what you know to be right. Recognize the potential To be coopted into the machinery that can be systemically based oppressive practice. And not only the impact on those served but on you and your person (health). Be critical. With the intent to pursue “better”. For humans. Avoid the desire to create complexity and be in the “complexity club” that actually is a barrier to those you are in service to. Ours should be a role of accessibility in all Ways. Not building barriers to stroke the ego of academia that lives far away from on the ground truth.

Understand that your social work education and training are highly transferable and that the profession is so diverse that the ability to pivot is a powerful career development strategy. You can change populations. You can change areas within the same population. There are countless ways to social work successfully

Adaptability is the cornerstone to Darwin's theory of evolution- it is not only how the human species survived, it is how we came to be who we are today as humans. Social workers ought to embrace change and adaptability on both personal and systemic levels; while holding tight to key social work values, such as empathy for our clients striving to survive in this post-pandemic era. The social work code of ethics is an excellent source in to ground our ethical stance. We should also to practice excellent communication; be open, fluid and flexible; build networks of support; practice good self-care; and engage in lifelong learning. Lastly, key to our times in 2024, we ought to embrace change, and even crisis, as opportunities for growth.
