Look as Senior it is always our pleasure to help juniors. As a Senior I will always do SWOT for my juniors. But contribution from Juniors are also required. They should ask Seniors questions of any doubts without hesitation

We can't always avoide it but when we learn from it we can strech our comfort zone without falling on a fear one and take the relevent risks to move on. My advice would be keep learning from your failures and mistakes and never give up the reasons lead you to start an professional journey on energy and sustainability!

An example that I have seen is that juniors in their quest for impressing management they find it hard to accept failure. This is the very moment when some decide to quit or feel demoralised. As juniors you have to embrace failure and take it as a learning opportunity. Correct what went wrong and avoid at all cost next time. On this they need better mentorship to help them realise that people learn and become expert in different ways. This will avoid them from taking wrong decisions and help them sail through failure to success

To me providing feedback is important. However, we should not forget to also ask for feedback from the latent who made a failure. Why they think it happened? Could we have helped to avoid? How are they going to prevent something similar happens again? Any positive take-aways. Both mentor and mentee can learn from failures

As I feel, there is nothing as called "Failures" in any sector of life be it industrial, domestic, etc. I would prefer to call that as "Lessons". Because of that, it is most important to recognize and appreciate the lesson learnt through a failure in addition to the hard work of the person. This will Have a two-fold effect - 1stly, recurrence of such failure(s) will very much be eradicated. Thereby, there will be more and more sustainable and effective achievements. 2ndly, instead of frustration, a positively encouraged feeling will be developed in the mind of the person which will make the person more proactive and effective in turn an asset to the organization.

Whenever a good result or positive approach is reached, make sure to let the youngsters know. THis will help you to keep their motivation on a high level, and they will be excited to learn more. Positive approach and celebrating success is one of the most important, and most effective ways of appreciation and success recognition methods.

I do agree with celebration of progress. Whether its a win or a failure, recognizing the progress of junior staff is an avenue needed to be explored more. It encourages self reflection and creates a platform for building of self esteem and eventually leading to improving of character. It is the managers role to mentor the junior staff individually at certain paces.
