Here's how you can structure your speech effectively using logical reasoning.

Problem/solution. Too many speakers jump right out of the gate with their solution, recommendation, benefits, etc. But you're not going to get buy-in for a solution if you nobody understand the problem. Instead paint a picture of the landscape — the big problem the audience is facing and the opportunity that awaits them if it's solved.

One can start with , some statistics/ trivia around the topic or even questions to the audience. Basis my experience - I've observed that this engages the audience and creates some curiosity initially itself. Thereafter, logically proceed to the problem and how the same can be addressed. Through the course of the speech - any evidence or past experience or similar stories can be narrated which will further add some structure to the speech.

This is act 1 of your narrative. Set the stage, introduce the protagonists and share the journey that must be followed. If you need to share data give the data personality. If you say "90% of people are successful if they do X" It is nowhere near as powerful as "I never realized I would be successful until I did X and it changed my life, now I would like to change your life."

Your speech needs to be engaging, and enriched with knowledge, and key takeaways. Always divide your speech into 3-4 core areas and develop material that is engaging (ex. real-life examples), information on the topic, and some ideas on how the information can be incorporated into the audience's day-to-day tasks and work.

Begin with a thought-provoking question, clear thesis statement, compelling statistic, engaging anecdote, hypothetical scenario, or powerful quote. These techniques set the stage for effective logical reasoning, engaging your audience, and establishing a strong foundation for your speech. The more Engaging and Provoking your first impression, the more likely your audience will be engaged till the end.

Most importantly in line with this, putting into place the very key points to reinforce them in your audience’s mind. This repetition helps ensure that your main facts are retained and understood.!!

Presenting facts will make the audience trust you as you back up your content with numbers but don't overuse facts. Not everyone remembers numbers. People remember stories. Try to use limited facts wherever required but convey your message with great story telling.

This is one of those times that the high school 'hamburger essay' format can come in handy. Map out the high points in your presentation in the same way: Thesis First point Second point Third point Conclusion Does each of your main points support your thesis? One of them might not fit, or all three supporting points might go together but you find they don't actually support your main point. Quickly mapping things out (I use paper and glitter pens, YMMV) can help you see weaknesses that need shoring up.

There should be a clear outline of your presentation. who is the audience, what is the objective/ main idea, 1 sentence to summarize everything; then it's easier to put everything together and create a flow.
