I found it helpful subscribing to IFRS institute so I could receive updates on the standards and then apply as found relevant. Another thing is to get updates on the computerized accounting systems functionality and again apply as found relevant. Networking with professionals in the industry is also so helpful.

Automation is allowing accountants to eliminate tedious tasks, AI and machine learning is shaping the way we process data and use it. If technology is used properly it eliminates the risk of human error and helps streamline operations. Manual bookkeeping will finally become a thing of the past. I believe Accounting will concentrate on company financial position accuracy after implementing technology more.
