Parfois des questions des apprenants permettent de voir d'autres aspects des domaines. 3- Pratiquer, pratiquer, pratiquer. La pratique permet d'asseoir les notions. 4- Etre flexible.

Staying relevant in late career is about continually refreshing the messaging about your acquired expertise and expanding your network. My approach to that was to become known as a source of training for system-of-systems and complex systems engineering. This does two things: increases organizational recognition and creates exposure to the emerging system engineering staff to broaden your network. You will sharpen your saw by developing and conducting training while raising your profile. It's a win-win.

This will give you exposure to the latest trends, patterns and chance for networking with the similar interest people. This also help in improving communications skills.

Everything old becomes new again. Concepts that were relevant years ago remain significant today, albeit with slight variations and different names. What you knew then is still largely applicable now. Learning is always important, but you're not starting from scratch when it comes to understanding current trends.

Even as you near the end of your career, maintaining your network and staying active is a great way to stay relevant. Attending meetups or conferences can be a great way to stay in touch with the industry. Also, consider co-writing a book with colleagues on new, innovative topics. This will not only solidify your knowledge and strengthen your network, but will also provide material for future talks and presentations. By staying in touch and engaging in the field, you can maintain your relevance and continue to make meaningful contributions to the world of systems architecture.

You can also focus on legacy applications and the modernization of those. Your old knowledge is of huge value and if you are able to translate this into the new world (e.g. micro services, ...). By the way sometimes old concepts are still valid to some extend. Think of mainframe systems based on messaging with MQSeries and the new paradigm of of event driven design based on Kafka.
