However if you dont have a choice, break down your task into manageable smaller tasks. By setting realistic expectations, you can avoid unnecessary pressure and disappointment when facing obstacles or setbacks along the way.

There is always a room for implement for the original planned items. Revisit the original operating plan and change the inputs or the expectations to the flexible timeline.

In a group of people who are thinking in the same perspective , you must have the point of always having a benefit of doubt that makes the change happen with innovation. So always feel yourself unique as you embrace the change.

Failure and progress seem to go hand-in-hand. Those who attempt great things often fail a lot as well. Remember that Babe Ruth had the home run record, but also the strike out record. Bouncing back from failure is key to resilience and long-term success. Some of the most humble people I’ve met, have failed at times. Their failure has led to stronger character and more humility. Not a bad result! I remember a famous pastor saying one time, “When I win, I try to be humble, but I can’t. I won! And in my opinion, I didn’t just win, I dominated!” He was joking about winning on the basketball court in a pick up game. But, his point was that some of the most humble people he knows have failed and lost. Failure in IT can lead to humility.

I will put this forward, fully aware that I may get some negative press on it. But, IT is not everything. Yes, its contributions cannot be ignored, yet, IT has always been regarded as a support function, unless your business derives a profit from IT. Don't make IT as the all pervasive entity and you will save yourself quite a heart burn. Most of the sectors require many power, and IT just cannot replace them fully.
