Here's how you can showcase your skills and experience in an interview.

In my previous role as the Head of HR, we faced chronic late coming issues, which affected the company's productivity. As per the instructions of the Management challenge was to improve punctuality without penalizing or taking disciplinary action against anyone. So I proposed to induct Punctuality as one of the core Value of the Company and made Punctuality a basic eligibility criteria for achieving many company rewards and privileges. This shift in company policy prompted employees to improve their punctuality in order to be eligible for those rewards. The response was overwhelmingly positive, leading to significant improvements in punctuality, team morale, and productivity.

Having a mindset to deliver every information to whom the information concern as a potential interviewee, I have to conscious enough on what are demanding from me with open and confident communication mood. To the best of my Knowlege the skills never tressed by simple telling on the interview session, the same to experience. all things stated on my resume, no need of killing time by telling the experience as well as the skills I have been enriched with. Both of them continued growing and adding throughout my lifetime. The very important thing is; I should have to present myself as a very skilled and potential candidate Infront of the team as potential interviewee.

Develop a 30-seond elevator speech. Who are you and what are you trying to achieve in your life. Companies value an employee who has a purpose.

While showcasing your specific experiences is important, don't overlook the opportunity to highlight your transferable skills. Identify skills from your past roles that are relevant to the position you're interviewing for, even if they're not directly related to corporate communications. For example, leadership, problem-solving, or project management skills are valuable in any role. By emphasizing these transferable skills alongside your relevant experiences, you demonstrate your versatility and ability to excel in various situations.

Start by thoroughly understanding the job description and aligning your experiences with the required skills. Use specific examples from your past roles to highlight your achievements and problem-solving abilities. Practicing your responses and staying confident can make a significant difference. Remember, clarity and relevance are crucial to leaving a strong impression.

Highlight instances where you successfully adjusted your communication approach based on changing circumstances. This demonstrates your ability to pivot and evolve, essential qualities in the dynamic field of corporate communications. Additionally, discussing how you've adapted to different challenges can provide insight into your problem-solving skills and resilience.

Create a brief, compelling summary of who you are, your professional background, and what you bring to the table. Structure your answers using the Situation, Task, Action, and Result framework to clearly demonstrate how you’ve applied your skills in real scenarios.

Focus: Pay close attention to the interviewer’s questions and comments without interrupting. Clarify: If you don’t understand a question, politely ask for clarification. Respond Appropriately: Address the specific points raised by the interviewer in your responses. Maintain Eye Contact: Make regular eye contact to show confidence and interest. Sit Up Straight: Maintain good posture to convey attentiveness. Nod and Smile: Use affirmative gestures like nodding and smiling to show you are engaged and understand the discussion. Two-Way Conversation: Treat the interview as a conversation, not a monologue. Engage with the interviewer by asking follow-up questions.

Share examples where you identified a problem, devised a solution, and implemented it successfully. Highlight instances where you went above and beyond your job duties to solve a problem or improve a process.

I take an iPad in to interviews with media pickup, visual assets and campaign examples I'm particularly proud of. I don't necessarily always use it but if it is particularly relevant to a question I will. The assets need to be local to the iPad, of course, and you need to be able to navigate quickly to the relevant one.

Use concrete examples to illustrate your skills. Mention specific projects, tasks, and results. Whenever possible, use numbers and metrics to show the impact of your work

Listen closely, enthusiasm is the secret ingredient that transforms a good interview into a great one. It shows you're genuinely interested and invested in the role, making you memorable. Imagine you're sharing your latest project success. Instead of a flat, "We achieved our goals," try, "I was thrilled when we hit our targets! It felt like all our hard work really paid off." This shift in tone can be magnetic. Think of enthusiasm as a bridge that connects your skills and experience with the interviewer’s needs and goals.

When answering interview questions, particularly those that ask you to describe a time you used a particular skill, use the STAR method. STAR stands for Situation, Task, Action, and Result. By using this method, you can provide clear and concise examples of your skills and accomplishments.
