There are five areas that I've found very helpful in showcasing your passion and enthusiasm: 1- Facial expression Maintain your smile, and eye contact to align with the conversation. Don't express a "one color" face because that will show you lack confidence. 2- Gestures I understand that it's quite difficult to control the movement or hand gestures while you're talking. Practice with a mirror may be what you need. 3- Postures Different postures reflect different things. And don't forget that most hiring manager is expert at reading people. 4- Vocal Cues: Utilize the Pace and Pause to make your argument more persuasive. 5- Engaging: Last but not least, enhance active listening, and style matching to make a good expression.

Body language during communication is mostly neglected by aspiring/young professionals. Depending upon the job role you will be invited by the company, you will be noticed the way you walk, interact (handshake, eye contact), your facial expressions while responding and overall gestures as well postures. Mostly, people lack connection between their words and body language impacting badly on the selection. Practice would the key here, you can record your videos and identify gaps, stand in front of mirror or ask your friends/family for mock interviews for their feedback.

If you are interviewing remotely your environment is part of your body language. If your background is not tidy use a professional virtual background. One of the biggest mental changes I have made at work is to adapt a “yes, and” mentality. Now, it’s not to say that I say “yes” to everything and everyone. But is more of a mindset shift to response first in every conversation with positivity and then circle back. People don’t like being told “no”. Based on my experience, i would encourage to have clear understanding on enthusiasm and how it could be reflected in proper manner during interview. Sometimes too much of enthusiasm could indicate that the candidate is too desperate for the job: Some examples are: i) agreeing for lower salary than current one ii) agreeing to join immediately iii) agreeing to any task beyond job description and scope of work applying for iv) providing bad review of current and previous employer to please the interviewer I believe that being who you are and genuine with yourself will enable you to reflect enthusiasm in much better manner.
