I believe this to probably be most important. Even if the child’s problem isn’t catastrophic it is to them in their mind. So, keep that in mind when dealing with children.

La comunicación empática tambien necesita comprender previamente aspectos más personales o de vida, ej ?cómo está el estudiante? ?Cómo se ha sentido? ?Cómo esta su familia o hace cuanto que no la ve? ?Si ha tenido alguna preocupación en el último tiempo? Etc. Esto permite mayor conexión, horizontalidad y por ende una empatía no solo cognitiva o mental sino emocional, sintonizando mejor emocionalmente con la otra persona, logrando que el estudiante se sienta importante como ser humano, visto e importante, siendo además consecuente con el espíritu de la carrera de trabajo social

Being specific is critical. Younger people are very literal and will get better with specific instruction or suggestion. If you want them to have a certain behavior tell them exactly what you want from them.

Importante enriquecer este diálogo (verbal) con otro tipo de expresiones como ej pensamiento visible, sketchnnotes, mapa mental, dibujos, poemas, juegos de rol, registros anecdoticos, intercambio de pares etc. Porque ayuda a efectual una mirada más integral y completa de la realidad, que no siempre la palabra será capaz de expresar o enlazar.
