Sometimes I don't need to set goals to go after something that I want. If you want to grow in your career, then you need to hone those coveted skills! So, if you are like me just go for it! Jump right in and start practicing those skills. Ok, ok. SMART goals can be helpful, I will admit that. Goals can also set a great framework to prioritize exactly which skills you should pursue. Another bonus is that they allow you to track your progress. Bottom line? Set some achievable goals, and then GO for it!
