Well first thing as a beginner in testing is one should read and analysis the requirement. Before that Basics understand of testing concepts like cardinality check , boundary value check , ect.is needed. Then you can design the test cases to be performed

Agile and Waterfall aren't "testing methodologies" but rather software development methodologies. I won't list the basics, but the best thing you can do is do the ISTQB (International Software Testing Qualifications Board) certification. You'll understand the basics then.

Hopefully you've landed a job already. If so a test tool will have already been selected, e.g. Quality Center (showing my age) or HP-ALM -> ALM Quality Center or Jira and XRay. There are a LOT of videos on youtube about these tools, watch a few to get yourself started. There are many tutorials too.

Practice makes the Master as they say in Germany, and Practice makes perfect, everywhere else. One thing you can do is take the requirements or user stories for a project that has already had the tests created, reviewed and signed off. Then do a gap analysis on what was previously created, compared to what you created. Focus on fixing the bits you missed.

It will help to plan better strategies and choose better tools for testing. It's the simplest yet effective method to progress in any field. As the technologies are changing quite rapidly, a discussion with the seniors can help us to learn the next big thing in the testing world. Constructive feedback can play a greater role in someone's professional growth.

Ideally try to identify someone who you vibe with, and ask them if they could be your mentor for a while. Don't constrain yourself to testers or test managers, developers are a valuable source of information.
