If you are in software industry, you have to keep yourself up to date. There are a lot of new frameworks introduced almost everyday. One may ask it's difficult to keep track of what to learn about. I always tell my team that it's just like listening to news. You need to subscribe to various podcasts (of your interest) that talk about what's latest and make a habit of pick any topic of your interest and learn about it to get in depth knowledge. If you make yourself aware of what is happening in your surroundings you will be quick to pick and choose. Never let complacency come your way

I once watched a fellow Software Engineer lose his job because they refused to learn new skills. He became complacent, and unfortunately was left behind as the organization adopted new programming languages, processes, and cloud technologies. Now more than ever, it’s critical that you learn new skills to stay competitive.
