Other people’s expectations — criticism can often come when other people have expectations of us that haven’t been met. Not necessarily something we should or could do. 2. Other people’s unhappiness — this can often be a source of critical feeble back from others. But check first if this unhappiness is based on your one fault or their mindset. 3. Other people’s beliefs — they say “the customer is always right” — not always. On this one occasion, they may just be wrong.

Or ask for sometime to process the same internally & come back with the points. Follow up with the person once the problem has been mitigated & take feedback again. This will inspire confidence in the person and help them openly communicate with you.
