In e-learning groups and any other group, team alignment is essential. Especially when working remotely, I find that using a shared whiteboard like Miro, Lucid, or FigJam is very effective. On the board, I create a rectangle (like an A4 size) and draw a circle inside it. Inside the circle, I write "We Do," indicating what the team agrees to do. Anything outside of that circle represents what the team agrees not to do. This alignment may seem simple, but it's helpful because everyone contributes to it and takes ownership of it. By taking ownership, they also help enforce it among their peers, making it valuable to everyone.

When there's no conflict, we use the team alignment board to outline our approach to dealing with conflicts and how everyone supports the resolution, regardless of whether it was their preferred outcome. Once we have this agreement documented, it becomes the standard that everyone lives by. If any changes are needed, we can discuss them, but otherwise, this is the process we follow. Understand that it won't always be your way and that needs to be OK because this isn't about you it's about the team.

Everything including conflict is an opportunity to do learn or practice something so when there is a conflict it's gonna be emotional, but what you need to do is turn that into a learning moment so that everyone can reflect on what the conflict was how we resolved it, but the outcome was and who this actually benefits. It's really good chance this isn't about you. It's about your learners or the people that you served so make sure that you keep that focus and take the time to reflect on the process and get better --> everyone wins..
