In this 4.0 industry, I think it will be irrelevant to be rigid about experience. I think the way companies approach you until the very interview is solid proof that they want to know you better, so simply highlight your capability in your role right now and the capability of learning skills that you have. From my point of view, there is nothing called "the perfect candidate" that translates to finding a person that will fit all the checkboxes. So just be original and show them who you truly are, but still show them that you are eager to learn the role you need to be in a way.

I am always so impressed when a candidate can add their own perspective on how they can contribute. It shows that they put in some extra work, instead of just mass applying and then showing up.

As a millennial hiring manager, I am not looking for technical skills or knowledge. My main focus is to see your personality, how you will fit with our team. We can teach you all of the technical things you need to know about the job. So if you don’t have experience in anything specific, how can you creatively translate your experience to fit what we are asking for.
