Values is like your steering wheel — it’s how you make navigate key decisions. Mission is your compass — without it, there’s no way to tell north from south. Vision is a map with your destination marked with a big X — it tells you where you are going and how to get there. Leaders, you are the captain and your job is to communicate these 3 things — mission, vision, values — to your team and ensure everyone is rowing in the same direction.

In my experience having strategy is not enough for success or business growth, but the important is the organization need to have a reliable approaches to transform this strategy to action by drowning a map between the current situation to Organization objectives, communicating strategic plan with all related stakeholders, staff members, donors and local partners is very important as well. At this point if you are a manager or frontline employee you need to make sure that you and your team efforts are aligned with this strategy and assess how its impact your performance

Have a Succession Plan in place for the future of leadership. Management positions of none profits, usually move forward to profits corporations or another projects, putting in jeopardy the association, time for retirement or in extreme cases because the board need to terminate the director.
