Here's how you can maximize communication in training sessions with visual aids.

Everywhere and Everything needs to be around a story. If you see something you can create a story. Or if you visualise may be your future you can create a story. An Interesting way to do all this leads to communicate efficiently and effectively. The core message needs to be sent and definitely the feedback. May be what you visualise can vary but still it is good for you to frame the sentences.

One thing that I have found useful is ensuring that there's enough breathing space on the visual aids that I am using. That way I don't overwhelm myself or the audience and we can all breathe in and communicate. What brings even more credibility to the conversation is when you have bullets in your visual aids for recall (both yours and your audience's) and then you support those points with strong data points, anecdotes or stories. Note - This is useful when the purpose of the visual aid is to support verbal communication. You may still want to include more information if the aid is supposed to be a sort of reference guide.

Improves audience understanding and memory. Provides clearer organization. Facilitates more eye contact and motion by the speaker. Contributes to speaker credibility.

Sounds Interesting. I think there are various methodology of training deliverables , what one should emphasize is know your audience. Depending on the type of audience one can modify the methodology. Visual aids make more impact for effective communication. Nowadays people use videos of SOPs etc for training of new guys. I implemented this a decade ago and it was very impactful.

Understanding the perspective of your learners will help you to enhance the quality of their experience. It's not helpful to dive into statistics and jargon if that does not meet your audiences relevancy. Ensure that the content that you provide is meaningful, relevant and engaging. Always be mindful that there are different types of learners. Some are visual learners, some are auditory learners and some are kinesthetic learners. Present your material so that it will cover more than one type of learner interface. If you present a video for example, have written questions, and also ask for interactive responses regarding the presentation.

One thing I have found helpful in engaging learners is the use of colourful images and relatable diagrams to stimulate their attention.

Being a speaker you must listen and that leads to a great learning experience. Even others can listen and learn. Learning must be full of curiosity, this leads to more questions and answers which enhances better communication.

Tell stories! For me, I always let our peers into my life. I tell personal stories about my experiences, about my children, about my mistakes, and about my successes. By the end of a training week or two, these professionals know a LOT about me — and I’m a private person. So why do I do that? So that they remember the point, the topic, the theme. I’ve had former training delegates reach out to me a year or three post class, and tell me that they faced a challenge or issue, and the my REMEMBERED my story. And upon reflecting on the story, they remembered the lesson. And knowing the lesson, they were able to approach the challenge from a learned perspective. Trainers are there to GIVE. To SERVE. And it is indeed a calling of great service. ??

Simplicity and Clarity are the key: Keep visuals simple and clear. Avoid cluttering the image with excessive information. Ensure that the visual aids are of high quality and easy to understand.

Understand the audience and what their understanding levels eg. Education levels, field of experience or expertise. Only then will you be able to connect with them. A good example would be using vernacular language or signs when training an audience who are less fluent in English.

Storytelling is a good way to get your audience to understand complex concepts. A visual narrative helps to carry the story using still photographs, illustrations or video. Break down the concepts into small bites that anyone can understand and try to identify relationships between the concepts, their practical uses and the visual experience to create a meaningful learning experience.
