Many of the newer softwares, applications, or tools come with a 'how-to' academy with helpful videos. When our team gets a new resource, I'll host a virtual "open desk" time where we all explore the tool and resources with our cameras off, while sharing and learning together. Recreating a space of learning as if we all sat at the same conference table.

Feedback is critical. The way you phrase your feedback questions and apply the feedback will set the tone for trust, communication, and openness. My favorite questions to use are, "how could I enhance that experience for next time?" or "which aspect of that training was least impactful or engaging? ... How can we increase engagement next time?" I also model my own trainings for my team, asking them to help poke holes, make changes, and practice engagement moments to model receiving feedback.

Once a month I hold a 90 minute calendar event called "Development Time." Inside the calendar event is a tracker of articles, books, videos, learnings, etc on all topics for my team to add to or create inspiration from - assembled by one of my teammembers who's incredibly passionate about development. It helps continuously reinforce that personal development is important to the role and the team. We share a highlight of our learning in the following week's huddle as a 'warm up.'
