While I'm not a developer, I usually first go to copilot and chatgpt and other AI tools to help me sort out things (even in scripting code) but basically... I think that as a developer you should first start by practicing regularly and tackling different types of problems. ???? Break down big issues into smaller, manageable parts. ??? Use online resources and communities to learn new techniques and get advice. ???? Don’t be afraid to make mistakes, they’re part of the learning process! ?? Debug like a detective, and always keep experimenting and iterating. ???? Most importantly, have fun with it and stay curious! ????

A solid foundation in game programming languages like C++ or Python is essential for tackling complex problems efficiently. Mastery of these languages' syntax and libraries enables quicker debugging and solution implementation. Equally important is a strong grasp of game design principles, which can direct your coding strategies and pinpoint issues. Combining technical proficiency with design understanding ensures a comprehensive approach to problem-solving in game development, allowing you to create more robust and engaging games.

I have always thought that we as people, are limited to learning and then forgetting. But even then, I find that putting in the effort to understand the core logic behind complex problems will lead us to master the ability of effective logical thinking. It will not matter if we forget, the core thought process will be similar, and solving problems will become easier and easier. Always read documentations, always explore new ways even if they seem harder, sometimes those ways, will be the optimal path in a future situation. If you can't implement something right away into your project due to the complexity, start a new one specifically for that, it will help you to easily translate that knowledge into the project it was meant for. My approach usually is as follows: 1 - make sure I have proper debugging tools and information related to the issue. 2 - do my best to understand the reasoning for a task (if new feature etc) or the flow (if existing problem) 3 - if pressed on time or lacking knowledge, ask for help or gather information from whatever sources available (people, books, internet etc) 4 - "distill" the problem into smaller sections to try and tackle those. 5 - Repeat until each "section" is solvable and is as "small" as I can make it. This approach also helps me in keeping a good view of what needs to be done and in what order, as a general day to day process, while also maintaining productivity as I do not get lost in what I need to tackle next.

Especially when it comes to coding, having flowcharts and more importantly pseudo code is a very great way, to analyze and dissect problems before you begin building. Having to work with multiple classes and methods that interact with each other, pseudo code goes a really long way.

Although I do agree that breaking down problems into smaller pieces can be helpful, sometimes overdoing it can be just as unhelpful. In order to effectively break down something to make it more manageable you need to first understand what the problem requires to be solved. Sometimes we want to jump into our coding seats right away, but its okay to take a breath and take a seat into our thinking/planning seat first. Diagramming the logic or even writing pseudocode it's always a great way to organize ideas.

Always put in your mind the principle of divide and conquer this principle will help you solve hard problems, and the problem will become smaller chunks that are easier to solve

Coding and Debugging are one thing in my opinion without debugging the code is useless it is full of bugs so using debugging tools like built-in debuggers will help you inspect the output of each line on the code and find the problem

The design process is iterative. Expecting things to work from the first time can be quite foolish sometimes. Expecting things to fail relieves the stress of wanting things to work from the first try. I believe in this as much as I believe in myself.

We as coders, evolve our elegant solutions with every line of code. It's impossible to move forward if don't take a crack at problems. Even if we know that our solution might not be the best one, realizing THAT, might be the first step into better coding. Slowly but surely, coding is just as any other skill, iteration and perseverance will guide us into our better selves, don't give up if a problem is too daunting, you can always come back to it, with better solutions, stronger solutions, until someday those type of solutions become your standard and you keep on growing. Failure only exists when you give up.
