I've seen many clients who required checklists and approvals, but if you set clear standard business rules and policies, you can allow people to make decisions quickly. You still need quality checks, but too many causes waste and WIP. Place them strategically to keep one piece flow.

Implement real-time monitoring systems to track key performance indicators (KPIs). We installed IoT sensors on our production equipment to collect real-time data on machine performance, production rates, and downtime. This data was streamed to a central dashboard accessible to the entire remote team. Real-time monitoring enabled us to quickly identify & address issues, making our decision-making process more responsive and effective. Use digital dashboards to visualise data and track progress. In a lean project aimed at reducing waste, we employed Power BI to create interactive dashboards displaying metrics such as cycle times, defect rates, and throughput
