When setting up a new business line, my general steps would be as follow: _ Consider all the Revenue and Costs of the business line (Master Rev/Cost type), identify they are COGS or Admin/Selling/Finance expenses. _ List down relevant departments and roles involved in the process. _ Matching right roles with suitable data inputting process. Set up other Masters on fields that needs to be identical for future analysis purpose (Vendor, Clients, Trips...) _ Set up formulas for Expenses that are allocated. _ Seeking feedbacks from mentioned users on cases that can affect the business and data flow. _ Collect suitable manual input & auto-generated data to calculate the final business results.
