Set clear expectations with the vendor(s) on the overall objectives and timelines. Assist them to have access to data and resources that will enable them to be successful. Appoint a PM and a facilitator to coordinate vendor requests in a timely manner. Setup regular cadence and monitor the progress of the project.Make minor alignments, if necessary. These surprise elements can't be preempted at the project incubation stage and has to be handled whenever the situation arises. Always remember the project objectives and drive in the path to achieve the same. Appreciate the vendor when they achieve each milestone.Have internal meetings with key stakeholders and take their inputs.Last but not the least,keep track of the budget and cost incurred.
