1 EI Fundamentals

Emotional intelligence is rooted in four core skills: self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, and relationship management. Self-awareness involves recognizing your own emotions and how they affect your thoughts and behavior. Over the years, I have lead sales teams in diverse working cultures. While there is overall organisational culture (driven by company), I have noticed team culture varies primarily driven by EI. Observing how team members are responding to business issues and collective behaviour are strong indicators of EI. Understanding the spoilers and addressing at individual level gave me turnaround outcomes both at business and individual level.
