It can be difficult at times for everyone’s voice to be heard, but given the right atmosphere often times great ideas come from just collaborating. Empower the team to create a roadmap proposal if verbal communication is not an option. The goal is to get the creativity and innovation to be present within the workspace. Work culture matters and cannot exist without the inclusion of the team and the respective energies they all bring to it!

Be humble. Too many times in my career have I thought that I had the answers or really wanted my perspective to be heard, only to miss out on an opportunity to learn from the very talented and smart people on my team. "Trust" is built when people feel safe telling you their differing opinion. If teams don't feel safe enough to speak to an alternate view, trust doesn't exist, and effective collaboration won't happen. Make sure you're not cutting others off when they're talking. Really think about and focus on what they are saying, lean in and ask questions. Then when you do offer your opinion, from it from the perspective of "in my experience" or "my first impulse is" so it's not a question anyone being right or wrong.

We often listen to “walk your talk”, but more frequently, people practice “fake it till you make it” and “follow what I say, not what I do”. However, your team will mirror the leadership's behaviour. Those who are outperforming the leadership will find better jobs where they can be challenged. The only way devs will excel and partner with AI is by nurturing strong human-centric values. Mediocrity was tolerated for long due to the shortage in the sector. Those times are over. It”s the age for unprecedented levels of productivity and creativity, allowing us to express ourselves without the burden of boilerplates and writing code from scratch.

From a technical perspective, a tech lead should always aim to produce high quality bug free code. This will require making sure current tests are sufficient or adding new tests. This can also be done by creating a testing plan for bigger changes. All these steps will provide a good example for junior developers to learn from.

Show the team members what team means, assuming your mistakes, fears, study time, and pauses. Be there for any colleague, be responsible for any gestures, and let new of code. Help the colleagues improve their quality of work and level of knowledge. Learn every second and teach every second.

This is one of my core belief.Working alone you can't do much,but you can move mountains if you work as a team.And to consistently work as a good team you need to share success and let me list down some simple ways to share success 1) Praise in Public. Lets say your colleague helped you solve a problem ,or your QA caught a very important bug.Share it in mail chains acknowledge them. 2) If you have a system of recognizing by giving points or stars go ahead do it. 3) Talk about your colleagues help when you talk with your Managers. 4) When you do tech talks or presentations ask your colleagues especially Juniors to speak on a small topic.That will make them feel important

An interesting observation from the Five Languages of Appreciation at work (by the authors of the Five Love Languages) is that not everyone needs the same appreciation so management and team leads should show appreciation in different ways (eg words at times, a pizza party or time off at others,... we are all different...)

I've noticed a significant contrast between working remotely without any prior interaction and working remotely after getting to know colleagues personally. This dynamic shift greatly benefits the overall collaboration and productivity. So, make an effort to grab lunch together from time to time; it can make a substantial impact.

But wait, is this approach exclusive to neurodivergence? Of course, it is not! Every relationship can be enhanced in social, school, and workplace environments by practicing this technique. It leads people to feel better about themselves and to like you more.
