At the beginning of my career, it took a coach to help me see that I couldn't grow without expanding my horizons beyond my Haitian clan. My coach encouraged me to seek diverse voices and experiences. This broadened my understanding and enriched my network. By stepping out of my comfort zone, I connected with people from various backgrounds, gaining new perspectives and insights. This expansion was crucial for my personal and professional growth, fostering a dynamic and inclusive network that drives innovation and success.

Using technology to foster a diverse networking also means curating your bubble/your feed in social networks. It's still pretty easy to only receive the perspective of the most privileged people, as thy hold more power, thus more reach, and their perspective is often seen as a universal one. Keep in mind to actively seek for different perspectives: women, BIPoCs, people with disabilities, queer people, people from different social backgrounds, etc.

Reflection is very important to understand different situations and to find better solutions. Always welcome and accept even a minor report supporting inclusion and diversity. If in doubt, talk to a true representative and also spend some time in peace to think about it. Certainly sometimes implementation might seem impossible but a clear and deep thinking could help you find an alternative or help you reconsider your decision. In an introspection you can assume yourself in a particular situation to find a better solution.
