Here's how you can foster creative thinking in your financial team and overcome resistance.

Diversity is always beneficial in the workplace as every culture comes with its own perspective and approach. Each one has value and it is through the combination of these and the ability to see the value of each that one is truly able to see and find the road to success. Finding the best of the best from different walks of life is always a benefit.

In my oppinion diversity is not nearly as important as competence. It surely shouldn't be point #1. Here are my top 3 must haves for a successful team. 1) Competence in your profession 2) resources to identify and fill gaps in your team's knowledge. 3) United team with common goals and shared vision for your desired outcome. That is what is important for a successful financial (or any) team. Diversity is useful for a well rounded team, but it is hardly a "must have", especially not before the above 3 points. Good luck!

You first need to identify the best at what they do and build that team around you. Stay in your lane and do what you do best. Always lead by a good example and motivate and help other to get what they want.

I do. It think diversity has any basis in a financial team. Ability experience and most importantly Sucess in the position Weather a person is of a certain sex nationality or belief is not a function of Sucess of a team.

Open dialogue allows more creative thinking which is how we can collaborate to solve problems and learn from each other experiences. When I consult with clients the more questions I ask the more I can learn about their situation and needs which helps me to be able to help them best. Each situation is unique so it requires the best solutions and we can do that with the most open and comprehensive approach.

The best ideas always come from a place of open acceptance. When your team feels empowered to speak openly and bounce ideas off of each other then and only then can they feel free to speak clearly those ideas that would otherwise remain silent.

To move forward you need to be always learning. Be committed to a constant and never ending improvement in whatever you do. Whatever subject or field you choose to go into find the min of 10 books and read them. Find a mentor and work with them.
