Here's how you can excel in teamwork as a computer science professional in a globalized industry.

Often called upon to resolve complex problems or unusual malfunctions, I have made it a habit to involve a less experienced colleague or someone from another department interested in my field. Sometimes, even when I already know the solution, I engage young collaborators so they can learn to analyze and solve problems. I haven't solved problems alone for a long time. For years, I have been against "job protection"; it's naive to believe one can build a career that way. "Passing on knowledge" and being a mentor are much more rewarding than "Finding". I want to show that tools like ChatGPT are not the ultimate solution. Unfortunately, not all managers or project leaders see this practice positively, too bad for them.

Every team has people with different mindsets. Some are of Controlling mindset, Few would be Analyzing type, Few supporting and Promoting mindsets, there is nothing wrong about any type of people and all are needed for the team for different viewpoints. We may think that our idea or approach is 100% correct but there will always be some blindspots that we neglect. We should always set our mood to flexible and curious at work and listen to teammates. That’s the best way to Embrace diversity.
