One thing that I find very helpful to establish goals is having a clear Theory of Change. This can allow you to have a bird eye view of the problem you have identified, the solution or solutions you wish to apply, and the impact that you are looking to have as a result of that solution. This can directly inform how you can best set your goals to serve thar bigger purpose.

I believe it's important to know - what you don't know! In a world where the developmental challenges are constantly evolving, it is always helpful to keep an open mind towards new knowledge pieces, skill-sets, and mindset shifts. What has helped me in my learning journey is being aware of my immediate and long-term interests and goals. I have then aligned them with the extent of weightage it holds for me to ensure I am putting the right kind of time and effort. It has also been crucial to understand the different approaches to learn a particular thing, and what would fit in the best as per my context.

Taking the time to work on personal development can sometimes be challenging, so it is important to have a clear game plan. It helps me to be really organised and to express my goals to others in order to hold myself accountable and sticking to it. In my personal experience, it also helps to choose a goal in a subject I have genuine interest in over the one that would be more beneficial in my career, then start small and work my way up.

I have been strongly attracted to youth and social development. It's obviously a broad concept but streamlining my organization's objectives helped my team to project impact cases. Understanding our core goals transformed more than our bottomlines, it improved resources distribution, personnel recruitment, fund deployment, social engagement and system process. It helps us learn faster, hence the growth in our traction.
