I remember when my Producer asked me to get some petty cash from the production office to pay off the crew for their transportation allowance. Mind you, in Ghana, we deal with a cash system. He asked for s specific amount and where to find the stash. I wasn't paying attention and did opposite of what he instructed. This almost cost me my job just for not being an active listener. Communicating effectively is an important skill every filmmaker must acquire and nurture. It cuts down a lot of downtime and as well improves productivity.
