This tool demonstrates your flexibility and commitment to doing business with the client by presenting multiple options that are equally acceptable. MESO builds trust with your client as it involves sharing a lot of information, including your priorities. It fosters a two-way conversation where both parties can express their preferences and priorities, generating multiple potential solutions. However, it's crucial to agree with your client that they should not cherry-pick elements from different offers. MESOs, can facilitate a collaborative negotiation process & increase the likelihood of reaching a mutually beneficial agreement.

Several strategies that most people overlook: 1. Emphasise storytelling over facts. People connect with stories more than raw data. Crafting a compelling narrative around your offer can make it more persuasive and memorable. 2. Create perceived scarcity. The perception of limited availability can prompt quicker decisions and better terms for you. 3. Deploy the Columbo technique. Named after the TV detective who played clueless to catch his suspects off guard, this technique involves acting less knowledgeable to elicit more information and better terms. 4. Anchor on common ground first. Start negotiations by establishing areas of agreement before diving into contentious points. This builds a cooperative atmosphere.
