Even though remote prototyping is good, I would not choose it first for testing. Because most participants won't speak out loud what they think, observing their reaction is also part of the process. A few usability testing in real life is still a lot better than a large amount of remote testing. I do not totally agree with the statement 'remote prototyping bridges the gap between designer and end-user'. I believe the tool mainly aims for efficient work between team members rather than helping designers communicate with end-users.
