Eu tenho um processo que gosto de adotar de "árvore de decis?o". Este processo significa quebrar a decis?o maior em pequenas decis?es menores, vendo a ramifica??o de cada decis?o em seus passos subsequentes. Busco entender se tenho o que preciso para cada etapa do processo, e tomo a decis?o maior com a vis?o clara de todas as implica??es das decis?es menores. Mas em conjunto com o processo decisório, busco sempre definir um prazo, para que o processo de análise n?o acabe impedindo que a decis?o seja tomada no tempo necessário.

La recopilación de información choca con el tiempo disponible para tomar una decisión. Tomar decisiones teniendo todas las opciones disponibles es mucho más sencillo que tomar decisiones no conociendo que otras alternativas pueden agregarse a las existentes. Trabajar en la ampliación de conocimiento para que cuando tengamos que tomar decisiones podamos elegir la mejor opción es fundamental en la carrera de nuestro crecimiento personal y profesional.

Para tomar decisiones hay que definir hacia donde uno desea llegar, sabiendo hacia donde uno desea llegar podremos evaluar las distintas alternativas que nos acerquen hacia esas metas predefinidas. Algunos temas importantes a tener en cuanta son que muchas veces no contamos con todas las alternativas posibles (pues no las conocemos), también está el caso de que la meta elegida puede no ser la adecuada con lo cual aunque la estrategia para alcanzarla sea la correcta, el lugar alcanzado puede no ser el óptimo. Humildad. Esfuerzo. Apertura mental. Trabajo colaborativo.

How many times have we seen leaders sit on their decisions just waiting for all the information to be made available to them before they decide? Perhaps, they are afraid of making a bad decision in such a situation. However, best practice calls for leaders to make A decision having looked at available & relevant information albeit they are not 100% complete. Then, having made A decision, you make sure THAT decision stays good. As an effective leader, you need to be bold & courageous when doing so. You must be accountable for your decisions. Sometimes, you may need to rely on your GUT FEEL having considered all facts & figures before you. Your past professional experiences will also be your guiding star. And you need to make a call on that.
