One thing I have found helpful is to create an atmosphere where everyone can freely share their views. In listening, it is extremely important to display a welcoming body language and be an active listener. During the whole process it is absolutely necessary to understand others perspective before thinking about a counter or sharing our own ideas. Active listening gives you a chance to effectively communicate later

Networking is a skill that will serve you throughout your career. When you want to connect with someone: 1. Identify one thing you'd want to learn from them - and make the question as specific as possible. 2. Draft a note explaining why you're interested in learning from them specifically - send through a colleague (if you're being introduced) or LinkedIn. 3. Prepare your questions. Have 3-5 that are open ended things you'd want to learn about. Be ready to pivot if you sense discomfort in their answers. 4. Send a quick "thank you" note after the meeting. 5. Later, pick 1+ thing they shared that you acted on and follow-up with them in a few weeks/months. Let them know the advice was impactful to you and how you implemented it.
