This is a key step for CSR issues. Whether you are tackling social or environmental issues, your teams' alignment and perception on those goals and objectives are key to your success. I have done workshops with selected team members from each function and collected a lot of data (qualitative and quantitative) which helps reshape our strategies, making adjustment along the way. Collecting this feedback can leverage data for your decision making, and also engage teams to enhance their passion and knowledge of the issues you are tackling. The best solution sometime is actually sitting at your own doorstep, waiting for you to unveil.
