But you missed a fact that it is equally important to investigate each near miss, identify the causes and horizontally implement corrective actions. Moreover what else will provide a moral boost to the person who reported the near miss rather than a thank you note citing that the lessons have been horizontally implemented?

While managing safety at a busy construction site, we realized that improving safety culture required more than just enforcing rules beyond the standard protocols we considered the importance of ergonomics and mental health we introduced ergonomic assessments to ensure that tools and workstations were designed to reduce physical strain additionally we started offering mental health support by providing access to counseling services and stress management workshops recognizing that safety isn't just physical but also mental helped us create a more comprehensive safety program addressing these additional factors led to a noticeable decrease in injuries and an overall happier and healthier workforce
