This is the future of healthcare. With all of our plans for AI in healthcare, these plans require enormous amounts of data. This data needs to be objective and collected without human interference or interpretation. Healthcare is running towards technology faster than our legs can carry us. The only way to feed these machine language engines (which includes terms like AI, Neural Networks and Deep Learning) is to feed it with lots of seemingly unrelated data. While true AI assisted decision making might be years away, we are years behind in objective data collection. My advice is to embrace the technology now, fight for it in your work space and believe that better days are ahead!
