One important aspect of my work - the value in meeting young people where they are at and understanding how to be relevant to them (this means listening). But as they say, the key is how you genuinely offer/add value within their ecosystem and ultimately, what they need/want or expect from you.

According to this topic, we can divide stakeholder engagement into two groups. 1. For the communities It can be started by identifying stakeholders, knowing the material issues, understanding stakeholders' power to affect the company, then classifying them into classes, so we can make stakeholder engagement methods based on AA 1000 SES to engage the communities. 2. For the buyers There should be several standards that needs to be fulfilled. The first one is IFC Performance Standards (PS 1 to PS 8), and the second one is the IRMA (Initiative for Responsible Mining Assurance) standards.

(Meaningful) Engagement comes with trust. Trust comes with integrity. Integrity is the outcome of a focused effort in building a trusting relationship with the stakeholder. Transparency and doing what you say you will do, be respectful, all the things that you seek in a trusting relationship. Generally, these are not overnight fixes, but something that is strategically put in place in a timely manner to provide the type of support when you most need it.

Having being in the mining industry for many years was exciting. Seeing and experiencing all scenarios was personally enriching. Identifying flaws in certain areas wich could have been changed was still evedent during my departure in 2019. An experienced overview can contribute towards finding better outcomes in certain industry areas.This however needs to be done together with decision makers and experienced senior managers. With a rapid changing industry together with all influhensic factors, As mentioned above, will require fresh inputs to match and challenge these situations. Mining is changing rapidly, So must new thinking be practiced.
