When getting to know your audience on a deeper level, begin by reviewing any current data about this group you’ve already collected. This includes all relevant analyses your company has conducted about your customers since you’ve been in business. When researching your audience, don’t neglect what’s currently working for your audience in terms of your products, services, customer support, and marketing efforts. This valuable information tells you about your audiences’ continued need for your product or service and why they’re already enjoying their interactions with your business. Conduct surveys, know their competitors, manage constant engagements which would ensure long term relationship.

This involves selecting the right chart types, simplifying the design, and using appropriate colors to ensure accuracy. For example, use a line chart to show performance trends instead of pie chart, and color land green and water blue. These choices might seem basic, but they need to be made thoughtfully.

By using creative visuals like charts and graphs, telling interesting stories, and comparing ideas to things everyone knows, analysts can help people grasp tricky concepts. Instead of relying solely on slides, consider using interactive presentations like animations to bring data to life and highlight key insights or trends. Simplifying data, or in other words, data cleaning, is a crucial step before starting to create reports. This involves finding and fixing missing and inconsistent values. It might not seem like a big deal initially, but it can have a significant impact on your visualizations. Techniques like imputing missing values can be beneficial. By examining the raw data before creating visualizations, you can identify areas that need work. This is what I mean by simplifying the data.
