Being proactive about seeking ways to address our personal challenges affecting productivity builds openness and trust and strengthens superior -subordinate relationships

Feedback is always a bonus, whether negative or positive. Viewing it as constructive criticism rather than conflict is essential for any employee, in BI or any other domain, and in life in general. Feedback often contains points you agree with and points you don't. For those you agree with, see if improvements are needed and make them bulletproof. For those you don't agree with, go home and research. Start by considering that what they said might be right and conduct hypothesis testing. Ensure your approach is unbiased. While we all claim to follow what the data says, biases exist in every domain, and data science and BI are no exceptions.

Depending on your culture, this process, if not approached with tact, may come across as a sign of insubordination. Having said this, be mindful of the culture you find yourself and approach superiors with the respect needed to be accorded as you clarify doubts. Superiors will be more relaxed to provide clarity and not be defensive
