I can’t agree less, to gauge the success of a negotiation approach, consider factors like whether your objectives are proper aligned with the goals , if the objectives will derail the quality of the relationship you are about to get into or improved it, and whether the agreement will be sustainable in a long-term. Additionally, assessing if it will be a fair exchange of value without bias and if the outcome will aligns with your broader goals. The Win-Win objective cannot be underestimated. All parties need to feel that they have walked away with the best “deal”. Of course there are objectives and milestones that need to be met, but it always kicks a relationship into positive territory from the get-go…..
