As far as I am concerned all IT at its core is based on story telling or narrative. We are taught as infants to learn and absorb information in the forms of stories - from bedtime stories to fables to nursery rhythms. IT is an information channel are predisposed to trust and accept. We like to use rational terms like What? When? Why? How? Who? or give simplified structures like People/Tools/Technology. At the core all these approaches are just give a standard structure to narrative. Just the facts rarely pass muster when it comes to IT budget allocations and approvals. To harness emotions explain to me why I should care in way that is as immediately absorbed as possible. Know you audience.

We don't do IT for the sake of technology, there's usually a business or social goal that needs to be clear and excites the reader to see it through to the end.

Durante minha carreira vivenciei muitas alterativas para solucionar problemas e em determinados momentos, depois de muitas tentativas, alguém vendo o problema pela primeira vez, sugere uma abordagem muito simples que n?o havia sido pensada, mas resolve. Se podemos criar um processo simples que atende às necessidades, por que usar tantos recursos para chegar no mesmo objetivo... revisar o que fazemos é a melhor maneira de entender como é possível simplificar, quem nunca revisou algo do passado e ficou intrigado com a volta que demos?

Know You Your Audience: Tailor your story to your audience's interests and level of understanding. Use analogies and examples that resonate with them, bridging the gap between technical jargon and their everyday experiences. 2. Structure Your Story: A compelling story has a beginning, middle, and end. Start with a hook that grabs attention, outline the challenges faced, and then present the solution and the benefits it brings. This structure makes your message more memorable and impactful.

Know your audience. Tailor your story so the impact is directly related to your audience's goals and objectives. Make the impact of your ask or call to action something your audience will value and support. Use real examples either within your company or external to your company, but similar enough so the audience can picture themselves benefitting from the results you plan to achieve. Also be clear on what happens if you don't move forward with your proposal so they can make informed decisions related to your call to action.

And keep it short. Rich detail is wonderful, if you can add it in under 30 seconds. Ideally, make it seem current and organic and weave in and out of the story to the best of your ability. Lead with the story. Make your point. Go back to your story and use keywords to make the story and your point mesh seamlessly.
