Most recruiters wanted to know how you will contribute to the organization. Ideally pick up a use case from the organization and provide high level strategic solution or explain how you converted a business problem into a long term solution and that should be a game changer.

tell them what you know of their company and what you see the role is for and ask questions to clarify... interview is not about answering questions but sharing experiences and ideas and views to see if we are both fit to work together. My view is the candidate should start with a brief intro of self, tell the interviewer what his/her view is about the company and views on what role they may be looking and how he/she is a good fit and why. then seek questions from them and answer appropriately.

Some tips for preparation, as follows 1) research the existing IT landscape at the organisation 2) research the business landscape and business strategy - annual reports can come in handy here 3) understand the IT landscape with competitors and analogous companies. 4) figure the department that you are interviewing for - understand if the role has predominant characteristics of efficiency or innovation 5) analyse how new technology areas - AI, blockchain, automation, ML etal. help in said industries 6) Figure what roles will an IT strategy team have in the above contexts The above should provide enough ammunition to help navigate through an interview

Emphasize problem-solving skills with examples of complex issues you've resolved. Highlight leadership and teamwork experiences, showcasing your ability to manage diverse teams.
