I have always love the quote "Failure is the foundation of success" during my high school and college days. Now in my professional career, my mindset has changes and I see failure as an experience and a teacher, so I embrace it with all understanding.

Embracing failure is foundational in cultivating a growth mindset for leadership. Leaders should view setbacks not as negative reflections of their capabilities but as invaluable opportunities for learning. Analyzing failures without personal bias and focusing on lessons learned fosters resilience and encourages a team culture where risks are embraced and mistakes are considered part of the learning journey.

Become a leader who is ready to acknowledge mistakes, use them as opportunities to improve and grow. Support, encourage and guide teams through their challenges. Build a culture where making mistakes is not a reflection of failure but a stepping stone to success. Its important for teams to be empowered to step outside their comfort zone and challenge what they know. Inspire them to do so, but at the same time take accountability for their own actions. Building a growth mindset is taking on tasks you are unsure of, uncomfortable about but you are open to live with ambiguity and trust the process.

Find out what every production record is and shatter them. Break every record and then break those. Bring Your best everyday. Play for 480 minutes a day and climb mountains others can't dream of. Some men do what others only dream of and some men only dream of what others do.

This is easy but not enough people do it. Read a new leadership book once per month. I recommend The Speed of Trust, Primal Leadership, and The Trust Factor.

Seeking challenges is key. A good question to ask is "What am I good at that I can be even better at?" Think both technical and soft skills. Look at ways to get out of your comfort zone and into your stretch zone. Know how you like to learn and grow and then pursue podcast, read, go to forums and round tables and grow.

Leaders are constantly learning. Further, they are consistently prioritizing the type of learning and topics they want to pursue. True leaders do not rely solely on the learning & development programs put together internally. They go deeper, further, higher. Leaders who learn are explorers. You go on expeditions of discovery. You don't just read a book. You read every book in the appendix and all the articles the book mentions. Create a "board" for yourself. Meet with one of them monthly. Ask great questions. You'll go forward with greater ease.

Commit to continuous growth. Surround yourself with communities that challenge your mindset, behaviors, and interactions. Dedicate at least an hour each day to personal development. This goes beyond just consuming information. Read and put into practice what you've learned. Keep a record of your weekly challenges and look for any recurring patterns. Seek feedback from others and don't forget to celebrate your victories.

No one can excel in the leadership role who isn't committed to lifelong learning. Learning keeps you ahead, give you the right mindset as a leader and set you apart from the rest.

For leaders, the pursuit of knowledge is never complete. Feedback is key. There is no such thing as failure, only feedback. Give feedback, get feedback and embrace it. Ask what is working well? What could I change or do differently? If you are not receiving feedback ask for it. When giving feedback make it regular, timely, clear and constructive. Feedback is the only way to grow, learn, replicate success and learn from our gaps.

I believe you need to work with your team to visualize what a thriving growth-oriented organization is and what that kind of organization would mean for the individual and for the greater team. It’s important to do this by eliminating or assuming no obstacles, don’t get bogged down with the challenges and obstacles in this step. Break down this vision into actionable steps, celebrate small wins to build momentum. Encourage feedback, adaptability, and collaboration. Always ask yourself and the team “Does this action align with what we visualized?”
