One thing I've noticed as being part of a national organization for 26 years is that change is inevitable! If change is not embraced you will get left behind, try to get on the forefront of innovation in your company, that way as a leader you can help those in your organization thrive.

1. Stay updated with the latest research and trends in functional training methodologies. 2. Cultivate a creative mindset by exploring new techniques and approaches. 3. Engage in continuous education and professional development courses. 4. Foster a collaborative environment to encourage idea-sharing among team members. 5. Seek mentorship from established leaders in functional training. 6. Experiment with innovative solutions and measure their effectiveness regularly.

Always adapt, stay current, listen to the team, and look forward. Polaroid is a prime example learned throughout the world of having the market and yet folding it due to non adaption.

This is true and has been successful at every organization that I had to pleasure of establishing. It is crucial when dealing with innovation to be open to change.

Change is constantly changing, improving is attainable and improving. If you hate change; you must develop new attitudes towards it. Open you mind to advancing in a safer, cleaner, competitive and better world. Allowing change to alter the future is the only solution. Grow with it or go home.

Have fun with your team, don't allow titles to get in the way of creative change. Many individuals have bright ideas to contribute and each should be considered carefully.

Leaders need to provide their teams with enough autonomy to flourish. This is the reverse of micro-management. It does however require leaders to be engaged and involved in what their teams are working on, but encouraging creativity and innovation breeds a culture of growth.

Promote curiosity and openness to new Ideas. Be an avid learner, constantly seeking out new research, trends, and functional training methods. Embrace a "questioning" attitude and be open to exploring different approaches

Just as a company has a mission and vision statement, leaders should have the same. A way to ensure that everyone on their team knows the culture, environment and priorities of their leaders!

Developing vision also requires preparation to have your constituents step into an experience that can project your vision in a more palpable way. Not everyone has the ability to visualize what could be, but once you give them a taste you widen that possibility. Having a buy in is critical for transformational change. Remove the fear of the unknown and they can be all in. Allowing permission to make mistakes can also be a big factor. Let’s face it no one wants to be wrong or make mistakes.

Cultivate strategic thinking. Align your innovative ideas with the overall goals of your functional training program. Consider factors like member needs, industry trends, and long-term program sustainability.

In large organizations, cross-functional teams can collaborate together to improve overall performance. Positive attitude and networking is at the base of this concept. Working across department/division lines linking skills attributes and expertise enhances mission execution.

The best collaboration comes from an understanding that there is no competition between the collaborators. Make sure this is clear and the door opens wide.

Collaboration is #1 No one does it alone, it takes a cohesive team of incredible individuals to form a unit. Your team knows what happens facing the customer and within what is actually happening. Be thankful for their insights, and promote growing from within, have fun! :)

At one point in my career I felt I had reached the pinnacle and I was the consumate subject matter expert. Not until I started reading again (nonfiction' leadership) did I realize I still had plenty to learn. I consumed books taking buts and pieces from each to utilize in my leadership style.

Daily tips for success are the most underrated form of professional development. I cannot tell you how often I do this and my team comes back and shares how helpful they are. I think I could write a book around tips and trick in our field of work. It is not difficult and very intentionally add tools to their belt.

This allows you to identify areas for improvement and create innovative training solutions. Be flexible and adept at modifying exercises to cater to different fitness levels, limitations, and goals. Explore how technology can enhance functional training experiences. This could involve incorporating wearable fitness trackers, virtual reality experiences, or innovative training apps.

Continue advancing with modernization. Within training there are many ways: -Learning Management Systems -PowerPoint (I said it, it's far improved!) -Adobe -Canva -Prezi -Google Slides -Visme -Keynote -Sway Microlearning and online learning are the future, take hold of any software that will deliver creativity, collaboration, and remember always keep it simple! :) Always insert direct links where possible, nobody likes being lost searching in SharePoint/document library space.
