Understanding your value, Entails conducting market research, considering expenses, aligning with client budgets, choosing the right rate structure, being open to negotiation, and continuously evaluating your pricing, you can determine freelance rates that reflect your worth and sustain your business.

Skill levelling would ground your expertise to a matched value. No customer would/should pay more on something less. Similarly, as a professional, your imposed worth should be aligned based on your level of delivery and capability. Your levelled skills would present the heirarchy of what expertise you’re at peak and what you’re at ramp. Consequently, you can work on skills at the lower levels so you can have more skills you’re strong at. The more skills you’re strong at, the more worthy you are. Keep them ALL growing though! ??

In my experience it has yet to lead to a positive outcome for anyone. You are in control of your price, not the client's budget.

Amongst these, consider different pricing models. Hourly and project-based freelance rates are more used but you can always play around and consider other models like retainer rate. I find this helpful for clients that can go long term even if they didn't initially have it in mind to go long term with me. It allows me go lower but for longer, saving them some decent amount and fetching me a better stretch of earning.
