From my experience of working with volunteers, it's important to tailor your feedback in such a way that, it doesn't make them feel bad.Always start by appreciating and acknowledging their strengths( the good things that stand out or what they are doing well).This the "Sandwich approach".Alternatively, you could find out from them, what they have done well or think they are good at before delving into giving your input. After all, these, you can then highlight the areas of improvement (weaknesses), the things they need to work on. You encourage them to work towards this, and create an environment free of blame, and fault -finding. Follow up sessions can be made to check the progress(improvement plan.

Entender que los motiva, cuales son sus aspiraciones, por qué están ahi, que desean aprender y que desean ense?ar. This is very important. As a lead/CEO/manager, the roles of each volunteer should be well spelled out during the onboarding phase. Hence, volunteers know the organization's expectations of them, which makes assessment transparent.
