Here's how you can craft a successful networking pitch for writers.

This is because if you aren't even confident of yourself, how are others supposed to trust the things you say?

It can make your prospect lose interest in the conversation and eventually in your services. Follow up diligently, so that people know you are serious about your conversations and that you mean what you say. It reflects professionalism and discipline. There are lots of specific recommendations out there how you should write an outreach message. In my experience, these best practices only work for a short period of time until "everyone" uses them. Then, people are annoyed reading the same templates over and over again. So I'd say, be authentic and don't cling to templates. Just go in with a giver's mindset and genuine curiosity.
