An example of a request I once received was: "Design a chicken class for me." In this case, the interviewer was a technical staff member and made a *lot* of assumptions that the candidate would not have known. Don't go off on a wild tangent and give them guesses in order to satisfy the interviewer. A professional stops and asks for more information. The interviewer could not clearly tell me what they wanted. They simply repeated the same, vague question. I later discovered that this was an environment where clear and written specifications are not used, which was not desirable to me nor helpful to the company.
