The purchase price of the stock item is updated in a price list with effective date or specified directly on the order line. An order is a non-posting transaction as it has no financial impact. Once it is confirmed, the stock item can be received and journal entries would have been posted in General Ledger if the modules were integrated. If Accounts Payable is integrated with GL, the input of a supplier invoice related to the order can show how journal entries are automatically posted in GL. This scenario involves master data maintenance, non-posting and posting transactions as well as integration in a procure-to-pay process instance.
